5 Years of Canadian Lumber

A statement from the CEO, Patrick Vandermeulen

`

Five amazing years ago, Canadian Lumber started as an idea around coffee table in a living room in Halifax, Nova Scotia.   Brand creator and co-founder, Beau-Brandon Cleeton recognized that Canada was on the verge of cannabis legalization, yet there were no Canadian cannabis accessory brands.

Fast forward to today, and Canadian Lumber rolling papers and accessories are distributed coast-to-coast.  We are now offered in over 1,500 dispensaries, headshops, smoke shops and convenience stores across Canada.  Our homegrown ecommerce store and online retailers have shipped Canadian Lumber accessories to consumers around the world, including Hawaii, Japan and Australia.  A robust B2B channel has developed to partner with Licensed Producers looking for a Canadian-based paper brand.

Recent brand awareness results have Canadian Lumber rank alongside global accessory brands.

While we’re proud of the growth of Canada’s cannabis industry, and of our progress within it, we’re also thankful.  Our staff, supporters and customers – you believed that a local, committed, and mindful brand was needed in this new industry.  With your encouragement and support we continue to push through challenges to build sustainability.

Today, to show thanks and gratitude, we are pleased to renew our program to support Cannabis Substitution Programs (CSPs) across Canada.  While Canada sees the highest rates of overdose deaths from an increasingly toxic drug supply, these initiatives provide low-barrier access to quality-controlled sources of cannabis.  We are renewing our commitment to donate up to 25,000 booklets of papers to CSPs across Canada.
